In-Vitro Lab: Laboratory measurements have become an essential part of medical diagnostics. During the last two decades, laboratory diagnostics in medicine have undergone a technological revolution in several ways. After the development of radioimmunoassay (RIA). chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) has become the dominant method nowadays. But immunoassays like ELISA or RIA still play a central role in the endocrinology laboratory, due to their robustness and high sensitivity.

The pressure of reducing costs and laboratory staff and the necessity to speed up laboratory measurements, has fueled the development of fully automated diagnostic platforms. In the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences, Chattogram, we use:

Last but not least, it should be pointed out that a clinical diagnosis can be accomplished and refined, rather than be replaced by measuring meaningful laboratory parameters.
